Before coming to the class you should be familiar with quantitative analysis. qualitative analysis and programming. To help you evaluate your skills, here are some questions and tasks that you can recap about these things.

Quantitative research

  • What does p-value measure?
  • What does correlation measure?
  • Why is mean a bad descriptive measurement for many types of data?
  • List three challenges of validity in quantitative research?
  • Describe what is done in Blank's article Who Creates Content? and what are the main findings and challenges in that research?

Qualitative research

Programming

    1,0,0
    0,0,0
    0,1,1
  • Write a function that creates counts the number of given list of words (i.e., the list of words is a parameter) and returns an dictionary of the frequencies of those words in a text file.
